Video Transcript for Review of Trimax Locks Hunting and Fishing - Gun Trigger Combination Lock - TMX95FR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Trimax Gun Trigger Combination Lock. With this trigger lock, you can prevent tampering and accidental discharge of your handgun, rifle, or shotgun. This combination lock is easy to use and provides peace of mind, and it's going to install, and it can be removed in seconds. So to use this and to lock your gun, you do wanna make sure that the safety is in the safe position on your gun.

And then you wanna also make sure that your gun is not loaded or cocked. You never want to use this lock on a loaded gun, and then I'm gonna go ahead and push this button here and that's going to unlock it and allow me to release the the halves here, the two halves of this trigger lock. And then you will put the front, the part with the dials here, on one side of the trigger against the trigger guard. And you do wanna make sure that the.. You wanna check the best locking position before completing this next step, and once you have checked that locking position and everything is good, then you're gonna place this back part into the opposite side and insert it.

And I'm just going, I'm pushing the button here. And I don't think you have to push the button. You can push in, but it seems to be just a little bit easier when you hold this button down. And then you're gonna just push these two halves together and you wanna make sure that they're tightly together. And then go ahead and spin the dial here.

And then that is going to lock your firearm. I'm gonna go ahead and put this back to all zeros. This does come with a combination preset at all zeros. I'm gonna take this apart again and show you the rubber lining on the inside of both of these halves here. That's gonna protect your gun's finish.

And this also is very easy to set to your own combination. So what's nice about having a combination lock is you don't have to worry about keys or those keys getting into the wrong hand. So this three digit combination is gonna be very convenient to use, very easy to use, and it's very easy to set to your own combination as well. And I just wanna walk you through how you can do that. I'm gonna use my leather punch tool here on my pocket knife, and we have a reset button here. So when you're ready to set your own combination, you're just gonna hold in that reset button with something pointy. And then I'm just gonna go ahead and set this to something that's easy to remember. I'm gonna have to tilt this up so I can see, it'll be a little bit easier that way. So I've just set our new combination to 1, 2, 3 and I'm going to release that button. And as you can see, I can unlock it. And then I'm just going to change the digit here by by one. So it's 1, 2, 4, and now it is locked. So that's how easy it is to set your new combination. I'm gonna run that back to 1, 2, 3 and that opens up easily. Let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements to make sure that this is going to work for you. Gonna make sure that this is locked here. So looking at the overall length, I'm gonna line this up here as best as I can. It looks like we are sitting pretty close to about two and 3/8 inches long. And looking at the width, we are sitting pretty close to, get that angle better there for you, about an inch and a wide overall. And then looking at the thickness, and I'm also including this portion for the overall thickness, we are sitting pretty close to two inches thick. Now this does have a limited lifetime warranty and Trimax also releases these in a quantity of two trigger locks. This is just for one trigger lock, but if you'd like to pick up more than one, you can get a bundle of two of these, and you can find that on our website using item number TMX 85ZR. Just pop that in the search field of our website, and it'll take you to the trigger locks where we sell two of these in a package instead of just one. Again, it is important to remember that you do not want to use these on loaded guns. And that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
